Liverpool may have landed the Egyptian Steven Gerrard in their signing of Mohamed Salah, report the Liverpool Echo .
Salah is his country's most famous footballing export and is seen as they poster boy for Egyptian football and should bring an extra dimension to the Liverpool attack next year.
And the jet-heeled former Chelsea star could bring an army of new fans to Anfield with him too.
Salah has won 53 caps his country and has something of an iconic status amongst Egypt's 91m-strong population.
